Products Description

7×7
strands, 7 wires per strand, for a total of 49 wires. The wires are relatively thick and somewhat stiff, but they offer high tensile strength, making them suitable for applications requiring load-bearing capacity and minimal bending, such as slings, guy wires, and guardrail cables.
7×19
strands, 19 wires per strand, for a total of 133 wires. The wires are thinner and more flexible, making this structure suitable for applications requiring frequent bending or passing through pulleys. Examples include winches, crane luffing ropes, or applications where knotting is required.
Common Size Reference Chart
| Diameter (mm) | Construction | Minimum Breaking Strength (kg) | Weight per Meter (kg) | Typical Applications |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1.5 | 7×7 | ~180 | 0.012 | Picture hanging, small cables, equipment lashing |
| 2.0 | 7×7 | ~300 | 0.021 | Guardrail cables, small slings |
| 2.5 | 7×7 | ~470 | 0.033 | Facade cables, light fixture hanging |
| 3.0 | 7×7 | ~780 | 0.048 | General lifting, small marine mooring |
| 4.0 | 7×7 | ~1350 | 0.085 | Dock mooring lines, crane limit ropes |
| 5.0 | 7×19 | ~2000 | 0.135 | Winch ropes, pulling lines |
| 6.0 | 7×19 | ~2900 | 0.195 | Heavy-duty cables, buoy mooring |
| 8.0 | 7×19 | ~5100 | 0.345 | Large cables, vessel securing |
Note: Breaking strength is the theoretical minimum value. Random sampling tests are performed on each production batch before delivery. The safe working load should be calculated at 1/5 to 1/6 of the breaking strength.
Applications
Ships & Docks
For mooring lines, berthing ropes, gangway railings, and davit wires. Exposed to constant seawater immersion and splashing, ordinary steel wire ropes turn stiff with rust after just one voyage. Our AISI 316 wire rope stays bright and clean even after 2–3 years of use, with only simple cleaning needed.
Desalination & Wastewater Treatment Plants
Used as traction ropes for sludge scrapers, bar screens, and lifting equipment. With high salt concentrations and corrosive gases in the medium, 316 is the standard choice. For welded applications, 316L (low-carbon version) offers better resistance to intergranular corrosion after welding.
Chemical Plants & Electroplating Workshops
Filled with acid mist, alkali fumes, and chlorine gas. Used for stainless steel door/window cables and small hoist wire ropes. In high-temperature, high-humidity environments with corrosive gases, 316 provides far more reliable, long-lasting performance.
Outdoor Landscapes & Building Facades
For point-fixed glass facade cables, bridge guardrail ropes, and park fall-arrest nets. These need to withstand sun, rain, and wind while looking good. 316 wire rope can be polished to a mirror finish, resisting rust and unsightly yellow runoff.
Factory

Why Choose Us

Choose Us
Manufacturing 316 stainless steel wire rope isn't rocket science-it's all about sourcing the right materials, ensuring even stranding, and preventing strand mix-ups. Every coil undergoes random tensile strength testing before leaving the factory, and we provide you with the test data for that batch. All you need to do is tell us: the diameter, the construction (7×7 or 7×19), the length, whether you need fittings, and the intended application environment. We'll handle the rest-calculating the load capacity and recommending the appropriate specifications.
