18×7 non‑rotating steel wire rope is a typical anti‑twist wire‑rope structure. It consists of 18 outer strands with 7 wires per strand, specially engineered with opposite lay directions between inner core and outer strands to greatly reduce rotation and twisting under load. Our steel wire rope is manufactured from high‑carbon high‑tensile steel wire, available in galvanized or bright finish to fit different working environments.
Structural Features
The inner and outer strands are twisted in opposite directions. When under tension, the inner and outer strands counteract each other. The wire rope does not rotate or twist during hoisting, thereby avoiding problems common to ordinary wire ropes, such as load rotation, wire loosening, and kinking.
